How We Started

The BUSY Group has been helping people with jobs and training since 1977. We’re a not-for-profit organisation that works with local communities to create opportunities for education, employment and skilling.

Why Study Hubs?

The Strathpine and Beenleigh University Study Hubs are part of BUSY Study Hubs, delivered under the Australian Government’s Suburban University Study Hubs Program. This national initiative is designed to improve access to higher education for students in outer metropolitan areas.

The provision of the Suburban University Study Hub Program represents a natural progression of The BUSY Group’s vision to have more people in jobs, more people learning new skills, and more communities exposed to positive change, in partnership with employers and industry.

Making it happen

We opened a study hub in Strathpine (and soon in Beenleigh) to bring university and TAFE support closer to home. These aren’t just study rooms – they’re community spaces where students can:

  • Focus on their studies
  • Get help when they need it
  • Connect with other students
  • Access the same support they’d get on campus

Our Goal

We want to make it easier for students in outer areas to succeed in their studies. By providing local access to study spaces and support services, we help remove the barriers that can make higher education difficult to complete.
